Ho Ho Ho!
Halloween has only just passed, but if you’ve been in your nearest Supermarket lately, you’ll have seen the tinsel creeping it’s way up the aisles like multicoloured Ivy bushes. The Christmas Season has officially begun (whether or not the Cola Trucks have been spotted on TV) and we here at the Briardale are getting in the mood!
Not only do we have a wide range of festive items available in the Woodshed, we’re also hosting what is becoming an annual event at the centre, Georges Journey Christmas Fair. Last years Christmas Fair was a success, so much so, they’re back again!
What is Georges Journey?
Georges Journey is a fund set up by Lilian and George Pegg to support their son, George, who has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. George was diagnosed at three years old, but the condition hasn’t stopped George or his family from having an active, fun filled time, especially when it comes to fundraising!
Local to Blyth, the family have held numerous events to raise awareness of DMD and to promote the vital support, work and research that Muscular Dystrophy UK do and through all of this, George and his parents have gained many true friendships and supporters!
So what’s happening at the Christmas Fair?
All manner of things! From Raffles and Tombolas, to high quality, locally produced handicrafts and food! The little ones (and not so little ones) will have a chance to meet Santa and receive a gift from the man himself, details about Santas visit are below.
Whens it happening?
